Bluetooth Software Stack launch sees Brain Boxes commit to the future of
wireless communications
Brain Boxes, the UK-based communication technology developer has announced that
it has become one of only a handful of companies in the world to be able to
offer integrated Bluetooth hardware and software solutions.
Launching the new software stack at The Bluetooth Developers Conference in San
Francisco today, Stephen Evans, Marketing Manager at Brain Boxes explains the
significance of the product launch: We are now one of a very small number of
companies, that can offer both software and hardware. This means we can
now offer a comprehensive range of Bluetooth solutions including voice over IP,
PDA, laptop and handheld PC applications.
The Bluetooth Developers Conference offers Brain Boxes the perfect opportunity
to launch the new software stack on the world. Stephen Evans comments: We
wanted to make this announcement at the Bluetooth Developers Conference because
it really is the most comprehensive Bluetooth educational event in the world. In
so doing, we are showing our peers that Brain Boxes really are fully
committed to seeing a wireless world!
Indeed, Brain Boxes has already gained full Bluetooth 1.1 standard
qualification, for two of its Bluetooth hardware products, the PCMCIA Serial
Port Card and the Compact Flash Card. Brain Boxes has been successful in
marketing these to application developers, such as Norwood Systems. As a
result, these developers have been able to use the hardware to enable their own
software applications. However, Brain Boxes are now able to offer their own
integrated Bluetooth solutions.
Concluding, Stephen Evans commented: This is a significant step forward for
us as a company. We have committed ourselves fully to Bluetooth technology and
are confident that it is set to become an invaluable communication tool over the
coming months and years. Having a reliable, comprehensively tested portfolio of
products ensures that we are well placed to capitalise on the uptake in the
technology.
