Stollmann has released the BlueTA+ ISDN Bluetooth Adapter
Stollmann has released the BlueTA+ ISDN Bluetooth Adapter. BlueTA+ is
Bluetooth-certified and supports the Dial-up Networking profile. It allows just
about any Bluetooth terminal devices offered by third-party manufacturers to
access the Internet via ISDN. From the point of view of the terminal device, the
BlueTA+ presents itself as a standard modem, eliminating the need for special
ISDN drivers. This means that not only PCs but also PDAs, web pads, and other
terminal devices can utilize BlueTA+ for wireless ISDN and Internet access the
only prerequisite being a Bluetooth interface.
There are plans for a future Bluetooth-CAPI that would improve ISDN-based
communications especially for PCs and notebook computers and make dedicated ISDN
applications such as RVS-COM or BVRP available via Bluetooth. Stollmann's OEM
clients are offered BlueTA+ for distribution or for production under a license
agreement.
