Directory February 27, 2002 I am very happy with this agreement, since Bluetooth integration with Microsoft was our last missing link in order to design and develop Bluetooth Internet Access products and any other PC peripheral product. Since we now have 100% control of every software and hardware component, we are able to design products with a low Bill of Material, which is very important for our Consumer Premises Equipment customers, says Mr Jørgen Elbæk, managing director, RTX Telecom. RTX Telecom can today demonstrate an inexpensive ISDN modem with a USB interface to the PC and Microsoft Operating System ready to be sold as an OEM for CPE customers and contract manufacturers. In the near future, RTX Telecom will also be able to demonstrate a Bluetooth LAN Access product. The end2end Bluetooth modem is Bluetooth 1.1 compliant and is pre-tested for interoperability, performance and stability. This provides customers with the benefit of a robust and reliable Bluetooth solution, which thus reduces their development efforts. The combination of our USB dongle and the complementary and proven software stack from Impulsesoft enables us to supply our customers with a superior, easy-to-use product, says Mr Elbæk. This partnership with Impulsesoft will further strengthen the software and applications support that we can offer potential customers.
