Sweden and San Jose, CA February 5, 2002 IAR Systems, the designer of
software development tools for embedded microcontrollers, and OSE Systems, a
leading provider of Real-Time Operating Systems, Software Components and
Development Tools for Embedded Systems, today announced a new cooperative
agreement to jointly support their common customers with a full range of
real-time solutions for embedded applications. The newly announced cooperative
agreement will focus on the most important areas of technology for mutual
customers in order to increase real-time capabilities and connectivity of
applications developed with software tools from both manufacturers. IAR
and OSE started their cooperation in 2000 to integrate the Enea OSE Epsilon in
the IAR Embedded Workbench for NEC V850, which is based on IARs new
technology platform. The further cooperative project will focus on ARM and NSC
CR16C processors, but will then continue to include the many other processors
that are mutually supported by IAR and OSE. Cooperative efforts will include,
but not be limited to tighter integration of the tools for development and
debugging ease, optimization for performance, and optimization for resource
utilization. Both
IAR and OSE are well known for high quality, reliable tools that are designed
specifically for embedded developers. This joint effort underlines our
commitment with partnerships to bring the benefits of the real-time capabilities
to the customers, said Mats Ullström, Product Manager of IAR Embedded
Workbench at IAR. We
are pleased to work with IAR to help provide powerful tools solutions to our
customers, said Anders Flodin, Director of Strategic Alliances at OSE
Systems. When IAR launched their tool chain support for ARM it was natural to
invite them into our partner program". IAR Embedded Workbench, IAR C-SPY, IAR
MakeApp and IAR visualSTATE are trademarks owned by IAR Systems. The BLUETOOTH trademarks are owned by
Bluetooth SIG, Inc., U.S.A. and licensed to IAR Systems AB. Please
