RS-Blue Bluetooth Serial Port Module is a plug-in module that provides Bluetooth connectivity to devices with an RS-232 port. The module provides data rates of up to 720Kbps, making the device suitable for use in industrial data logging applications, and sensors and control equipment with a serial port. The 30-by-50-by-7.6mm device uses Philip Semiconductors' BGB100 TrueBlue radio module and PCF87750 Blueberry baseband IC. It also has an ARM7TDMI core and provides UART, JTAG, PCM and GPIO interfaces. The module is capable of transmitting uo to a distance of 10m, while drawing 90mA from a Li-ion battery or 5Vdc source. It conforms to the EIA-232-E standard for serial communication and is available with a built-in voice codec. The RS-Blue module ships with both a female or male DB9 connector and has optional HCI and I/F module, as well as a headset profile module.

Bluetooth RS232 Adapter BL-510
This can be used with any laptop, handheld PC or PDA with a spare RS232 connector. It can be capable of full speed Bluetooth communications when attached to an RS232 port. An example of its use is the ability to enable any laptop or desktop PC that doesn't have a USB or PCMCIA connection to connect to any other Bluetooth device.  The RS232 Adaptor (BL-510) is supplied with device drivers for the majority of the Windows operating systems.
